Definately love this illo. Style is superb. The expression is just classic. Great original take on "surprise."
Plot note: Being at the dresser does demand the question, "Why is he looking in there?" My first thought was maybe he sometimes does the laundry (I do most of ours), but then the discovery would be at the folding table.
I've gotten a lot of "what's he doing snooping through his daughter's stuff, anyway?!" That's what my wife said, too. :) I think you all are hiding something in the sock drawer...
To answer Rachelle's question, I usually draw things out in pencil first, then ink the outlines. Then, I erase all the pencil marks so it's nice n' clean, and scan it. Then, I do all the color in Photoshop. It seems to work pretty well... and outlining everything makes it easy to select just the pieces I want to fill in.
what an uptight looking dad. he look's strangely familiar he's not related to the gorillaz style portrait down the page is he. :) I love the glow effect on the panties. love the panties too. nice illo love scott
What a wonderful charicature...I really dig his outfit and hair - perfect! I also like the extra touch of the starburst effect behind the underwear. Great stuff all around!!

This is a great illo. Love the simplicity of your style. Do you start with scanned line drawings or is it all done digitally?
